Faculty of Engineering Visits Our Department as Part of the 2025 Academic Evaluation Process

In order to evaluate the academic and administrative activities of 2025, a visit to our Department was carried out by the Faculty of Engineering administration on 04.02.2026. The meeting was attended by the Dean’s Office administration, the management of the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Engineering, faculty members, and academic staff.

Within the scope of the visit, a comprehensive presentation was delivered by our faculty member Dr. Ercüment ÖZTÜRK, covering the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Engineering’s academic outputs in 2025, including scientific publications, citation performance, nationally and internationally funded projects, patent and utility model studies, as well as national and international academic achievements. Conducted in an interactive setting, the presentation emphasized the strong academic position of our Department in the fields of artificial intelligence and data engineering at both national and international levels.

Following the presentation, the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Prof. Dr. Temel VAROL, provided an overview of the 2025 performance of both our Department and the Faculty of Engineering, ongoing academic and administrative activities, the Department’s goals for 2026 and beyond, academic opportunities, publication and research project prospects, infrastructure support, quality assurance and accreditation efforts in education, and internationalization activities.

In the continuation of the meeting, mutual discussions were held on topics including the Department’s fully English-taught education programs, graduate education activities, administrative and technical staff support, digital and physical infrastructure needs, appointment and promotion criteria, faculty exchange opportunities with national and international universities, and strategic academic staffing planning.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the Faculty of Engineering administration for their visit and constructive contributions within the scope of the 2025 academic and administrative evaluation meeting, and we wish a productive and successful year in 2026 for the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Engineering in both academic and administrative terms.
