Course Contents

It is one of the compulsory courses of our department. It is one of the courses in which the necessary information is taught in order to work as a responsible engineer in facilities above 1 kV after graduation. It covers issues related to the design, installation and maintenance of facilities and devices especially related to the transmission of electrical power. Course content is as follows.

A review of Electric and magnetic fields; Generation of high voltages; Measurements of high voltages; Electrostatic fields and field stress control; Electrical breakdown in gasses; Breakdown in solid and liquid bielectrics; Non-destructive insulation test techniques; Overvoltages, testing procedures and insulation coordination; Design and testing of external insulation. High voltage circuit elements; High voltage transformers, circuit breakers, surge arresters. Grounding in high voltage transmission systems.

Ders İçeriği

Bölümümüz zorunlu derslerinden birisidir. Mezuniyet sonrasında 1 kV üstü tesislerde sorumlu mühendis olarak çalışabilmek için gerekli bilgilerin öğretildiği derslerden birisidir. Özellikle elektrik gücünün iletilmesi ile ilgili tesis ve cihazların projelendirilmesi, kurulması ve bakımı ile ilgili konuları kapsar. Ders içeriği aşağıdaki gibidir.

Elektrik ve elektromanyetik alanlar teorisine kısa bir bakış. Yüksek gerilimlerin üretilmesi ve ölçülmesi. Elektrostatik alanlar ve alan zorlamalarının kontrolü. Gazlarda elektriksel delinme. Katı ve akışkan biyoelektriklerde delinme. Dayanıklı yalıtım test teknikleri. Aşırı gerilimler, test yöntemleri ve izolasyon koordinasyonu. Dış izolasyonların tasarımı ve testi. Yüksek gerilim devre elemanları: transformatörler, kesiciler, ayırıcılar ve parafudrlar. Yüksek gerilim tesislerinde topraklama.
