Our University Strengthens Its Commitment to Quality through Institutional and Program Accreditations

Our university, which received “Full Accreditation” from the Turkish Higher Education Quality Board (THEQC) in 2022 and successfully renewed this accreditation in 2024, continues to move forward confidently in ensuring quality in higher education. Aligned with our Strategic Plan goal of “deepening quality,” the efforts we’ve been making are further strengthened through program accreditations at the undergraduate level. Program accreditation is an external quality assurance process carried out by independent organizations to check whether academic programs meet certain predefined quality standards. In recent years, we’ve made significant progress in this area.

Impressive Growth Over the Last Two Years

Our Rector, Prof. Dr. Hamdullah ÇUVALCI, highlighted that our university not only identifies as a “Research University” but also prioritizes quality in program content, learning resources, and academic support services. He shared: “One of the key steps we took when we started was creating the Accreditation Working Group and integrating it into our organizational structure. The group’s main role is to bring together our accredited programs and those preparing for accreditation, working alongside our University Quality Commission to increase the number of accredited programs. Thanks to these efforts, the percentage of students enrolled in accredited undergraduate programs has raised from 34.43% to 60.19% over the past two years. We’re continuing to push forward with accreditation preparations for other programs as well.”

 A Valuable Competitive Edge

Thanks to program accreditations, our graduates can proudly have the Türkiye Qualifications Framework (TQF) logo on their diplomas, which boosts the recognition of their qualifications both nationally and internationally. This logo proves they’ve been educated within a quality-assured system, giving them a real advantage in the eyes of employers and higher education institutions, both at home and abroad.

Building for Long-Term Success

Our university is committed to making these accreditation efforts sustainable by focusing on students and continuous improvement, adapting our programs to meet today’s evolving needs. This way, we ensure that quality isn’t just a goal, but a lasting part of our education.
