KTU's Dual Achievement in Erasmus+ Programme: Ranking 18th in KA131, 4th in KA171
In the framework of the Erasmus+ Programme's 2025 call, the evaluation results of KA131 (intra-European mobility for students and staff) and KA171 (mobility outside of Europe for students and staff) projects have been announced by the Turkish National Agency.
Out of 268 applications in the field of KA131 projects, Karadeniz Technical University (KTU) ranked 18th; and out of 144 universities, KTU accomplished a remarkable achievement by being awarded the 4th largest budget. Already having a strong infrastructure and expertise in KA131 projects, KTU worked tirelessly for the KA171 project application period and submitted an extensive KA171 proposal in the 2025 call, with the aim of strengthening its global cooperation beyond Europe and implementing its internationalization strategies on a larger global scale.
According to the results announced by the Turkish National Agency, the volume of the budget awarded to KTU reflects its vision of providing KTU students and staff with international mobility opportunities across the globe. Additionally, KTU has been awarded funding for blended intensive programmes for the first time, which is a new step for our university in the field of Erasmus+ Programme. Through the blended intensive programme planned to be organised in 2026, KTU aims to host 20 to 30 student participants from at least 2 partner higher education institutions, and thus increase the number of incoming Erasmus+ students.
