What is a hackathon?

A hackathon is an intensive work event in which software developers and other technologists collaborate to produce innovative projects within a set period of time. It is usually organized in a competition format and aims to develop creative solutions.

Where, when, and how long is the Hackathon?

It will start at 09:30 on Thursday, May 22nd, and end at 18:00. It will be held at KTU Career Center Meeting Hall (Kariyer Merkezi Toplantı Salonu).

Who can participate?

Anyone who is a 1st year student of Karadeniz Technical University Faculty of Engineering, Department of Software Engineering and Artificial Intelligence and Data Engineering can participate.

What will we do?      

During the hackathon, we will develop software solutions for real-life problems that can be encountered in daily life. Working in teams, we will both use our technical skills and aim to produce creative and effective solutions. In this process, we will have the opportunity to improve our competencies such as problem solving, teamwork, and time management.

Who will support you during the process?

- Lecturers and expert consultants will provide technical support throughout the event.

- Team cooperation will be encouraged.

- Guidelines and sample problem descriptions will be provided at the beginning of the hackathon.
