Full Accreditation Was Granted Again to Our University by the Turkish Higher Education Quality Council (THEQC)

The Institutional Accreditation Program (IAP) is an external evaluation method that ensures the assessment of quality assurance, education, research and development, community contribution, and governance processes at higher education institutions within the cycle of “plan, do, check, and act.”

The IAP process is conducted by evaluation teams established by the Turkish Higher Education Quality Council (THEQC) based on the Institutional External Evaluation and Accreditation Criteria and the Institutional External Evaluation and Accreditation Guide. In this context, our university, which was awarded the “Five-Year Full Accreditation” label by THEQC on 25.05.2022, underwent the IAP Interval Evaluation Program from July 15–18, 2024.

After reviewing the Institutional Accreditation Report (IAR) prepared by the THEQC Evaluation Team and subsequently examined by the THEQC Consistency Committee, the THEQC decided to continue our university’s Full Accreditation status with the decision numbered KARAR.2024.10.04, dated 1.11.2024. Thus, the “Five-Year Full Accreditation” label, initially awarded in 2022, was once again confirmed by THEQC following the interval evaluation.

Our Rector, Prof. Dr. Hamdullah Çuvalcı, stated, “When we received the ‘Five-Year Full Accreditation’ Certificate in 2022, I had expressed that our goal was to pursue depth in quality as we continued on our path. By successfully completing the Interval Evaluation Program, we have proven our progress toward our goal. I extend my gratitude to the members of our University Quality Committee, all academic and administrative units, our staff, students, and external stakeholders for their contributions to this achievement.”
