Karadeniz Technical University Participates in Global Sustainable Congress Held in Istanbul

Karadeniz Technical University (KTU) took part in the Global Sustainable Congress organized by Times Higher Education, held in Istanbul from June 16 to 19. The event brought together over 5,000 participants from 90 countries around the world to discuss the latest developments in global and regional sustainability within the framework of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

At the congress, academic stakeholders, policymakers, and industry representatives gathered to engage in in-depth discussions about the future of environmental, social, and economic sustainability practices. Representatives from KTU shared information on regional and global sustainability projects and research, taking important steps to enhance inter-university cooperation opportunities.

Participating in this international platform is highly significant for Karadeniz Technical University, both to elevate its academic prestige and to strengthen its pioneering role in sustainability. University officials aim to diversify scientific research and establish new partnerships across different disciplines through the international interactions facilitated by the congress.
