The 7th International Erasmus+ Staff Week was held between the dates of 4-8 November 2024 at our University by the organization of the Office of Exchange Programmes. 20 representatives of 12 different universities from 10 different countries attended the event. Our University and our city were introduced to the participating university representatives. Negotiations were held to establish new bilateral agreements within the scope of Erasmus+ Programme. The event also made a great contribution to the international visibility of our University.

On Monday, November 4, 2024, the opening speech of the event were made by our University's Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Ali TEMİZ responsible for International Relations and Institutional Coordinator for International Relations Prof. Dr. Ümit ALVER. During the first day of the event; presentations were made introducing our University, the history, culture and local cuisine of our city, as well as Turkish culture and language.

As a part of the event, on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, participating university representatives made presentations introducing their own institutions and countries. On the same afternoon, a mini fair called "Participants' Exhibition" was organized on the ground floor of the Faculty of Science, where participating universities introduced their own countries, universities and local flavors. Our university staff and students showed great interest in the fair.

On Wednesday, November 6, 2024, trips were organized to the historical and cultural sites of Trabzon. In this context, the Hagia Sophia Mosque and Museum, Atatürk Pavillion, Gülbahar Hatun Mosque and Tomb, (Kanuni) Sultan Suleyman Ottoman Culture House and Sumela Monastery were visited.

On Thursday, November 7, 2024, presentations were made by students who previously benefited from the Erasmus+ Programme, explaining their Erasmus+ experiences. Erasmus Student Network Local President also made a presentation introducing the ESN Trabzon Student Club. We would like to thank our students Tutku BERBEROĞLU, Özlem TÜRKOĞLU, İrem Nur YASİNOĞLU and Emirhan KÖKSAL for their presentations.

On Friday, November 8, 2024, visits were organized to our University's METAM and ILAFAR Research Centers along with participating university representatives. We would like to thank all the employees of our Research Centers, especially ILAFAR Center Director Prof. Dr. F. Sena SEZEN and METAM Research Center Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa ASLAN, who hosted the participants. On the same day, presentations were made about the production of mini wooden houses and paper production stages in the relevant workshops and laboratories within the Forest Industrial Engineering Department. The participants received the mini wooden houses they assembled themselves to keep as a souvenir. We would like to thank all the employees of the workshops and laboratories, especially Assoc. Prof. Dr. Samet DEMİREL and Dr. Bilge YILMAZ, who hosted the participants.

At the closing ceremony, the participants were presented with their certificates by our University's Institutional Coordinator for International Relations Prof. Dr. Ümit ALVER and Vice Coordinator for Exchange Programmes Assoc. Prof. Dr. Samet DEMİREL.
