Mission

The mission of the Faculty of Forestry at KTU is as follows:

1. To generate innovative, research and development (R&D) projects focused on producing original solutions applicable by both public and private sectors, aiming at the optimal utilization of forest products and services for the benefit of society.

2. To increasingly enhance our capacity to produce reputable scientific works by disseminating research findings through national and international platforms.

3. To cultivate researchers capable of producing knowledge and technology with universal relevance.

4. To educate engineers, landscape architects, and wildlife experts who possess analytical thinking skills to address contemporary forestry issues, have a high environmental and social consciousness, comprehend biological principles, utilize contemporary information and communication technologies, apply acquired knowledge, communicate effectively, demonstrate entrepreneurial spirit and foresight, and uphold ethical values.

The vision of the Faculty of Forestry is to:

Be a leading institution capable of conceptualizing approaches to sustainable forest resource management through new technologies and methods, conducting environmentally interactive and responsive studies, developing conceptual and innovative technologies for processing forest products and advancing its industry,

Be a pioneering institution capable of designing, planning, and implementing rural and urban landscape values with original approaches,

Play an effective role in the sustainable management of national forest resources, contribute significantly to science and practice, conduct forestry-landscape education at the national and international levels, and be a continuously evolving, exemplary, and preferred faculty known for its quality of education, teaching, and research, characterized by participation and sharing.
